The Temp.

Tonight, I attended at talk at UCLA by B.J. Novak.  You might know him as “Ryan the Temp” turned “Ryan the Corporate Boss” turned “Ryan the Cokehead” on The Office.

If I had to pick someone in showbizz today that I’d want to model myself after, Novak would be at the top of my list.  He writes and acts on a great comedy show with a team of great writers and actors.  He came up through the ranks by grinding bad jokes into good ones on open mic stages.  And he was on Punk’d before all of the fake quitting.  

Okay.  So, two out of three isn’t bad. 

I’ve also been thinking about taking a temp job to make ends meet here in LA, so maybe I could model my life after Novak’s fiction presence.  Anyone know a good coke dealing hobbit in New York City?
